Instructions to install our self-adhesive wallpaper

 

• Surface preparation

The self-adhesive wallpaper is ready for immediate application. It can be hung on any smooth, dust-free, dry surface. First of all, cleaning the surface from dirt and  dust is essential for hanging the self-adhesive wallpaper. If dirt and dust gets in contact with the adhesive, the wallpaper ceases to adhere to the surface correctly and firmly. 

The Self-adhesive wallpaper IS NOT designed for fresh-painted walls. 

Recently painted walls need to dry for at least four weeks to be ready. Do not hang the wallpaper on damp or cold surfaces or close to heat sources such as panel heaters, central heating, fire and cooking stoves. Plaster, chalk or lime-painted surfaces should be smoothed and primed.

Thorough preparation of the surface before hanging the wallpaper is essential and a non-corresponding surface is not a reason for a complaint regarding the quality of the wallpaper

• Self-adhesive Wallpaper application

 

After cleaning the wall, position the wallpaper where you want to hang it. Then attach it with delicate painter tape and inspect it from a distance to check whether it is level-aligned properly.

We advise fixing the self-adhesive wallpaper at several points to prevent it from moving while peeling the backing paper.

Remove the tape from the top of the wallpaper. Peel off the backing paper about 1/5 of the length of the wallpaper and cut it off. Hold the self-adhesive wallpaper to prevent it from sticking spontaneously to the wall.

For the self-adhesive wallpaper to adhere correctly and not bubble, smooth the wallpaper with a cloth towel from side to side; start at the bottom of the exposed self-adhesive surface and proceed upwards.

Now make sure that the top of the self-adhesive wallpaper is firmly pasted to the wall, and remove the remaining tapes holding the wallpaper. Slowly peel off the backing paper downwards, and at the same time smooth the newly exposed part of the self-adhesive wallpaper from side to side with a cloth towel while working your way down so that the wallpaper adheres properly and no bubbles form. If air bubbles form while installing the wallpaper try and remove that part of the wallpaper that has bubbled and reattach it smoothly. If any air bubbles remain under the self-adhesive wallpaper, gently pierce them with a small needle and smooth them out with a towel.

If your wallpaper consists of several pieces, continue to follow the same procedure, making sure the pattern is lined up with adjacent wallpaper panels . Repeat steps 1 through 4 with all panels.

 

Can I install the wallpaper on a textured wall ?

Our wallpaper is designed to be applied to almost any clean, smooth, dry and dust free surface. The removable self-adhesive wallpaper sheets are NOT designed for textured walls, bumped walls, freshly painted walls, damp or cold surfaces, plaster, chalk, lime-painted, semi-gloss or gloss finishes. They are NOT designed for the walls painted with a “non-staining”, “stain resistant”, or “stain blocking” paint. The wallpaper WILL NOT stick to it. All sanded or drywall textures should be smoothed. To ensure good adhesion, old wall-covering and loose paint flakes should be removed. It is not recommended to use the fabric if your wall is painted with any bright paint, i.e. - green/red/yellow etc. 

Refunds will not be given for wall incompatibility.

Even if your walls fit all of the previously mentioned criteria, there is always a possibility that other variables are at play in your specific space. Some of those might be excessive moisture/heat and/or dryness, dust, or a specific incompatible type of paint or other wall coverings. We cannot control or predict these variables so we, therefore, cannot guarantee that our removable wallpaper will be 100% compatible with your specific wall. This is why we strongly encourage our customers to consider trying a sample if they have any doubts. 

 

 

• Returns and Damaged item

 

We accept returns and exchanges of unused, undamaged and unaltered items within 30 days of delivery.

We do not accept returns on customized orders and items on sale and purchased with discount coupons.

Items should be packed in their original packaging and in their original condition. We recommend using UPS or FedEx carriers with full insurance and a tracking number.

Shipping charges are not refundable.

We do not offer free returns - the customer pays return fees.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition in which you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Please let us know if your item is lost or damaged during transit, and we will file a claim with the carrier. You should provide pictures of the damaged items.

Shipments with "Arriving later" status or marked "Delivered" - are not considered lost.

All sales and sales with discount coupons are final and cannot be refunded.

We require all returned merchandise to be packed in its original condition otherwise the order loses all commercial value. Any order returned poorly packed or with evidence of product being used, will not qualify for a refund. For the same reason, returns of partial orders do not qualify for refunds.

We offer samples from our products to test our items before installation since they may not be suitable for every surface. It is the client's sole responsibility to try our items before use.

Our products do not qualify as defective if: the color is different from that on the screen, the measurements purchased are wrong, the wallpaper material purchased is not suitable for the project, or installation issues.

 

 

• Wallpapers and Murals

 

is this producto removable ?

The adhesive on “Peel and Stick Vinyl” and “Peel and Stick Fabric” is considered removable and should be easy to remove for at least 6 months. However, the longer the wallpaper is mounted, generally the more challenging removal will be. Removability also depends on the mounting surface. Paper-based, painted, and composite materials may not allow for complete removal without damaging the mounting surface.

 

 

• Shipping

How long does it take to ship the order ?

All items are made to order so we need between 3 and 5 business days for production.

 

Should I pay import customs fee ?

Please note that additional delays may occur due to customs clearance procedures;

import duties and taxes may apply once a shipment reaches destination country and

the customer is solely responsible for covering any such taxes and additional

customs clearance charges. For more information, please contact your local customs authority.
